  • 16-09-2024

On July 21 and 22, the coordination meeting for the start of the new European project Orienta4VET took place at the UAB.

The first meeting of the project partners served to strengthen the social sphere of the members who are going to participate, as well as to establish the general lines of work, adjust the calendar and agree on the main aspects related to its daily management. Representatives of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, IPL - Leiria Polytechnic Institute (Portugal), UB - Universitaet Bremen (Germany), Universitatea din Bucuresti (Romania) and Aarhus Universitet (Denmark) participated.

The project “Orienta4VET - VET: an attractive and viable pathway. Innovation in VET through process guidance and flexible exploration and diversified opportunities in VET", financed within the framework of the Erasmus + program and coordinated by Patricia Olmos, has the main objective of improving access to vocational education and training (VET), as well as contributing to improve the permanence of students with the greatest difficulties. The 3 operational objectives of the project are:

1. Make VET visible in each of the contexts, identifying and analyzing its main problems and their impact. Identify the main barriers to VT in the territories and analyze their impact, taking personal, educational/training, business and/or productive development of the territory, socio-labour or socio-professional as reference indicators.

2. Explore the potential and feasibility of alternative pathways that facilitate diversification and flexibility of access to vocational training opportunities (or educational/training re-entry through professional itineraries). Implement appropriate guidance and tutorial action strategies in VET itineraries and analyze their impact.

3. Implement appropriate guidance and tutorial action strategies in VET itineraries and analyze their impact. It is important to work on the orientation strategies and the tutorial action for their implementation and evaluation in VET.
